Ella . Knock

April 16, 1933 to February 10, 2010

Ella Knock age 76, of Hopkinton died Wednesday February 10, 2010 at her home following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 Saturday February 13, 2010 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Hopkinton with interment in the Hopkinton Cemetery. Rev. Paul Finger will officiate at the services. Surviving are 4 children, Vicky (Dean) Chapman, Russell (Pam),Douglas and Kelly (Pam) Knock all of Hopkinton. 6 grandchildren, Angela (Matt) Christensen, Michelle (Shane) Bove’e, Nathan, Ryan, Austin and Kaylin Knock and 4 great-Grandchildren Brooke and Cole Christensen and Lauren and Aubrey Knock. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Byron in 1999, 2 sons, Bruce and Gary and 3 brothers, Elmer, Alfred and William.

Ella Adams was born April 16, 1933 at Hopkinton, Iowa. She was the daughter of Calvin Glen and Violet Tharp, Adams. She graduated from the Hopkinton Community Schools in 1951. Ella Adams and Byron Knock were married June 11, 1952 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. The couple lived in Maquoketa and Lost Nation for several years. Ella had been employed at Lux Pulletts and Buchheit Poultry. After retiring spending time with family and friends, she also enjoyed dancing, country music, and casino trips. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
