I was very sad that I couldn't make it to Val's funeral. I grew up on Nasinus road with my family and we were close neighbors to the Millers. Bill, I loved going out on your boat fishing and teaching my younger brother Adam to be captain. I hope the family is doing well.
Love you guys

May god hold you close and wipe every tear at the great time of sorrow. I could not believe my ears when i was told of the news today, and would have been there had it been possible. Peace be with you at this sad time....

Dawn, Bill, Dan and family,
As I'm sure it is for many, when something like this occurs you think about your own family and what they mean to you. I know that I would be devastated, and I did not know Val well. However, I know she had a loving soul for all of you and will be greatly missed. I pray that in the coming days, weeks and months, the memory of her and the times you had together will comfort you.
Valerie was my 1st best friend, from early grade school. The type of friend who stood waiting for a 13 year old returning from the Mayo Clinic,upon having her mother just pasted. We stood there on the basketball court/driveway holding each other and crying not saying anything for an hour, I just needed my best friend. I will always have a place in my heart for "Val"

Hope and I are so saddened to know about the loss of Valerie. I attended the funeral today and was very inspired by the strength that you, Dawn and Daniel showed throughout this incredibly heartbreaking time. We love you very much and ask that the Lord heals your wounded soul while preserving the memories you have of beautiful Valerie.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Val was a beautiful person inside and out.
I am so sorry to hear of your sudden loss. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
We are so saddened to hear Val is no longer with us. My sympathies go out to your entire family. Val & I were childhood best of friends/neighbors. I have fond memories of my friendship with Val and the entire Jensen family. Our family lost brother Brad to a short illness with prostate cancer just a couple of months ago. Who would have known that both of our families would suffer such great loss in such a short time of each other. But, God has given us the gift of memory and that is what keeps me going from day to day. My prayers are with you!
Dawn, Bill & Dan,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all today. I have fond memories of your family. Your home was always welcoming and full of love. Val's laughter and sense of humor is something I will always remember. God bless you all.
Dear Bill and Family,
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all. May you seek God's comfort and strength at this time and remember that this will be but a blink of an eye until you are reunited for eternity. My prayers will be with you and your family.
I was shocked this morning to see Val's photo and obituary in the paper. I had not known that she was ill. I only knew her through her work at Sigma but she was so very nice and always smiling and caring. My sympathies go to all the family - husband, parents, children, and especially the grandchildren. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Bill, Dawn, Dan & family -
I hope you can find strength, comfort and plenty of smiles and a few laughs, too, within the memories you all share.
Val will be missed by so many. Those of us who knew her (even a little) will always remember her with a smile.
Sending hugs & prayers - Katie Gombert & family
Dawn and family -
All my love and prayers to each of you. May you lean on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to guide you through this difficult time.
God Bless you all,
Bill and Family,
So very sorry to hear of your tragic loss. Val will be dearly missed by all. Take care and feel free to call me if you need anything at all.
To All of Val's Family,
In the nearly 50 years that I've known Val, I cannot recall a negative thought. She was kind, funny and caring. There were times on the basketball floor that we laughed our heads off, and that repeated decades later as a patient at Sigma. (Don't worry Val, I won't tell Dr.) Although we're losing a good one, she won't leave us. Do remember that the life of a loved one is never lost. It's influence goes on, through all the lives, it ever touched. Val had busy hands because she touched so many of us. She will not be forgotten.

Uncle Bill, Dan, Dawn, and family
The news of Aunt Val is so hard to believe. Aunt Val was an amazing person. Her legacy is the wonderful husband, kids, and grand-babies she leaves behind. We are so lucky to have known her and have the opportunity to share time and memories with your family. We love you and are praying for you.

Dear Bill, Dawn and Ryan, and Dan,
We extend our most heart-felt condolences to you all in this time of sudden and certainly unexpected loss. Your wife and mother was an exceptional soul. Val was a person of endless generosity, big hugs, and huge warmth to anyone who knew her. She was also, as we saw her so often, a very loving Grandmother to her three granddaughters who she loved with her whole heart. We so wish we could be with you today and tomorrow to share our condolences with you and support you during this time.
Dawn, Ryan and girls - My heart sank when I heard the news of your mom. I send my deepest sympathies to all of you and your family. May you find the comfort in knowing she's home with God and will be with you always in your heart and in your memories. We never know the plan God has laid out for us and for our lives, we just have to trust in Him knowing He is taking care of each of us. I'll be thinking of you and sending prayers in these upcoming days.
I am so sad to hear the news. My aunt and uncle were the Miller's neighbors for many years on Nasinus Rd, and I have also worked with Val through the years in the optical industry. She was a wonderful woman, hard worker, and it's a shame to have her taken so young. Dawn, my heart goes out to you and your little girls. Be strong like your mom was, and instill her strong values into your girls. Take care.
Bill,Dawn and Dan,
You will forever be in my thoughts and prayers, I love u guys and if u need anything please call!

Dear Family of Val. I heard the news of Val's death as I was leaving to get ready for my wedding. I thought it a cruel joke. I can't tell you how truly saddened I was to learn it was true. Val was a wonderful woman whom I always enjoyed talking with at church. I will miss her smile and laugh when I come back for visits.
You all have my love and prayers.

I have great memories growing up with both the Jensen and Miller families. Val was always so pretty and so happy and this picture says that never changed; she's beautiful. Cherish your wonderful memories. All of you have my deepest sympathy.
Katie (Dierks) Powell
Words will never be enough to express our sympathy to you and your family. May the memories you have of your mom help you through this time. Below is a prayer that we say in any time of need or peace. May it help bring peace to your family.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.

Bill and Family:
Totally shocked by your loss, may god be with you all
Friday I lost a part of me and so did the rest of my family. It will take what will seem like forever to get over this and may never will, alway's wondering how this could happen in this day and age of modern medicine. I love you Val and my heart aches for you and will forever. Your brother Curt

Bill and family, so very sorry to hear of Val's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Rosann (Redmond) Hurt
My condolences to all of your family. I am in complete shock. You were my very best friend in elementary school at St. Pats and even though as we grew and I moved away and we drifted apart, I will never forget all the good times we had. We were inseparable back then, from the knitting classes we took to all the sleepovers where we would stay up listening to the Monkees. May peace be with you and may your family be comforted in knowing that you are watching over them. I hope you are dancing with the Angels my dear friend.
For the past 17 years you were my friend and co-worker. It's going to be very hard to work without you. I beleive your looking down on your family and friends. I will keep you and your family in my prayers forever. Love you.
What a beautiful picture of a beautiful person. We, too, at Sigma, are shocked......How do you pick up the pieces after losing someone that for 17 years has given so much of herself. Val has touched the lives of so many people. When someone has been part of your daily life and was giving you so much each and every day, they become a part of a "special family". Words cannot begin to express the sadness and heavy hearts that her Sigma family are experiencing. So many people will be affected by her passing. Everyone's prayers would be much appreciated for now and the weeks to come. Val will always have a special place in our hearts, and I have to believe she is seeing this as I write. You will be forever missed.....
Lisa Toner Kintzle

Bill, Dawn, Dan, and families,
I just learned of Val's passing, and I'm absolutely in shock, as I'm sure you are, too. Our deepest sympathies are with you, as are our prayers.
We so very much enjoyed being neighbors with you for ten years! You both always held a special place in our hearts.
I am certain the gardens of Heaven will shine even brighter now with Val helping tend them! She was an extraordinary mother, Nana, and friend.
May God's comfort surround you all.
Lisa and Randy
I'm shocked. My deepest sympathy to Bill, Dawn & Dan.

Val I am going to miss you dearly at work. You took care of patients as if they were your family...may God watch over Bill, Dawn, Dan, and the loves of your life your grand babies ...you have my deepest sympathy...
Valerie was first my friend from age 7 , my classmate until graduation 1975 , then my sister-in-law since 1977. She willing opened their home to our Miller family gatherings several times a year with graciousness and kindness.
Val, I loved you like my own sister and I will miss you terribly until we meet again.
So sorry for your loss Bill, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God Bless....
