Alan Francis Coyle, 63, of Delhi, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2025, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Hopkinton, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7pm. Thursday evening at St. Luke Catholic Church. A parish Vigil Service will start the visitation at 4 pm. Fr. Paul Baldwin will officiate the services. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello has taken Alan and his family into their care.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Jennifer, daughter Maddie (Randy Murray) Coyle, son Wyatt Coyle, grandson Nolan Nielson, his parents, Joe and Marie Coyle, siblings, Theresa Hamlett, Dan (Dawn) Coyle, Rick (Jane) Coyle, Joanne (Rick) Wolf, Steve (Deb) Coyle, Mary (Mark) Maurer, Thomas (Maosong Ye) Coyle, Sue (Doug) Neuzil, Barb (George) Gasaway, J.C. Coyle and many nieces and nephews.
Alan Francis Coyle was born on February 19,1961, in Monticello, Iowa, son of Joseph and Marie Klostermann, Coyle. Alan attended Worthington Catholic and Maquoketa Valley Schools. Alan worked in the oil fields near LaFayette, Louisiana for several years before returning to Iowa. He married Julie Kramer on June 8, 1984. The couple later parted ways. Alan worked for Tomlinson-Cannon Waterproofing in Coralville and Cascade Lumber Company. In recent years he was a self-employed carpenter in the Delhi area.
Alan married Jennifer Gordon on February 24, 2024. Alan was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan, he enjoyed mushroom hunting, refurbishing furniture, playing his guitar, bowling, fishing, baking pies, and spending time with his grandson, Nolan.
The family is extremely grateful for the staff of Above & Beyond Hospice and Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation for their wonderful care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
