Amy Lucille Whitaker, 53, died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, April 20, 2022  at home after a 9 month battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Survivors include her husband Jeff Whitaker of South English, children Jared (Bella) Tandle of Simla, CO, Amanda (Nick) McGovern of Monticello, Logan of Elbert CO, and brother Troy (Tracy) Donels of Hiawatha and her 6 grandchildren.

Amy was preceded in death by her mother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and maternal grandparents .

Amy was born November 26, 1968 to Dale and Janet (Gilbreath) Adams. Amy had a passion for painting. She enjoyed being a nana. She loved traveling and making memories with her husband. Amy created beautiful work through paint and yarn, spending most Saturdays at a street fair or craft show sharing her work with the community.
