Angela Vargas, 33, died suddenly at her home on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Funeral services will be held 11:00, Wednesday morning, November 26, 2025, at the Hillside Community Church, Cedar Rapids.  Pastor David O'Vell will officiate at the services. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, has taken Angela and her family into their care. Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 Tuesday evening at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.

Angela Lynn Vargas was born February 5, 1992 at Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Odilon and Renee Behrends, Vargas.  She graduated from the Anamosa Community Schools with the class of 2010.  Angela continued her education at Mount Mercy College where she graduated in 2014.  Angela had worked at Mc Grath Car Dealership, and the Iowa Mens Reformatory.  She was currently the Human Resources Manager at Polo Plastics in Monticello.

Angela loved to travel.  She and her husband Mitchell Crawford were married February 25, 2022, in Mexico while on a trip.  She loved spending time at the beach or being with her family.

Angela is survived by her husband Mitchell, a daughter Macie Jo Crawford, her mother Renee Vargas, and sisters, Alana Vargas her twin, Kelli Behrends, Adrianna Vargas, Aubrie Watkins, Karmen Keltner and half-sisters, Tiffany Lewis, Lydia and Lindsay Vargas.
