Audrey Brewer, 86, Anamosa, Iowa, passed away, Saturday evening, October 28, 2023 at U of I hospital following a sudden illness.
Visitation will be held from 9 until 11 Saturday morning, November 4, 2023 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa with graveside service to follow at 11:30 at the Norwich Cemetery, Martelle.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Mary Beth (Craig) Beadle, Melonie Rumbaugh, a daughter-in-law, Jill Brewer, grandchildren, Ben (Nikki) Brewer, Josh (Elaine) Costello, Corey (Dalton) Brewer, Jessie (Josh) Merrill, Jennifer (Peder) Lueben, Rebecca Beadle (Vance Van Donselaar), Rachel Beadle, great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jackson Costello, Kaylee, Hayden and Hope Brewer, Gunner Brewer, Kayden Parker, Jocelynn, Josie, Journee, and Jace Merrill and Scarlett Carano, a sister, Anna Mary Hostert, 2 sisters-in-law, Martha Ann Titmus and Alma Brewer and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Joseph Coonrod, her husband Mike, a son Mark and her sister, Betty Jean Wacker.
Audrey Lee Coonrod was born July 2, 1937 at Iowa City, Iowa. She was the daughter of Arthur and Mary Edith Wilson Coonrod. Audrey graduated from the Martelle High School in 1956. She married Mike Brewer on April 29, 1956 in East Moline, IL. The couple operated a DX station in Martelle. Audrey worked at Collins Radio and Iowa Manufacturing a devoted housewife and mother. In later years she and Mike, enjoyed going to Florida for the winter.
Audrey enjoyed watching dirt track racing and NASCAR. She loved wild life, watching deer, and feeding the birds and turkeys. She was an avid Hawkeye fan. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank everyone at palliative care for their kindness.
