Ben Cox, 41, of Monticello died Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at his home following a brief illness.  Private family services will be held at a later date.

Benjamin Ree Cox was born March 30, 1982 at the John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa.  He was the son of Merle and Ruth (Bossard) Cox.  Ben attended the Monticello Community schools.  He received his high school diploma from Kirkwood College.

Ben is survived by his mother Ruth Cox, step-mother, Coleen Cox and siblings, Tim Cox, Stephanie Chappell and Jennifer (Brett) Morris and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father Merle and nephew Hunter Kuipers.

Ben was an exceptionally bright young man gone too soon. His struggle and desire of a life we know he wanted will carry on in our hearts forever. Peace to you now.
