Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Doug, her daughter Lili, her parents, Janda and Bob Petersen, her sister and family, Jamie (Jon Jacobs) Petersen, Jorja and Jhett Jacobs, her in-laws, Al and Di Bauers, Paul Bauers and family, Gwen and Brooks.  She was preceded by her maternal grandparents, Pat and Jack Hoffman,  and paternal grandparents, Ralph and Dorothy Petersen.

Bobbi Jo Petersen was born October 4, 1980 at John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Janda Hoffman Petersen.  She graduated with the class of 1999 from the Monticello Community Schools and continued her education at Kirkwood College. In 2006 Bobbi and Doug welcomed Lili and were united in marriage in 2007. Bobbi ran a daycare out of her home in Monticello where she was nicknamed the Bobbi Sitter for several years, before moving to Lake Delhi.  While living in Monticello, Bobbi and Doug were foster parents, and after moving to Delhi they fostered many shelter dogs. Bobbi was the secretary for the Administrator at Divine Word Seminary in Epworth, then the secretary at St. Mary's Catholic School in Manchester.  Most recently she had been a special needs para educator in the Maquoketa Valley Community schools.

Bobbi was a homebody when she wasn't working. She loved attending all of Lili's school activities. She also enjoyed the Hawkeyes, watching Caitlyn Clark, and NASCAR. Her favorite summer activities were watching demolition derby's at the local county fairs, boating on Lake Delhi, and the Hartwick Huskys Ski Team with Doug & Lili. In the winter months she enjoyed her warm weather vacations. Bobbi was looking forward to moving Lili off to college this fall at the University of Iowa and spending more down time with Doug.
