Carl Kruse, 71 died Saturday, August 19, 2023, at St Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids with his family by his side.

A life Celebration service will be held, 3:00 Saturday afternoon, August 26, 2023, at the Go ettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, where friends may call from 1:00 until 2:45.  In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Surviving is his wife Kris, his children, Chad (Rebecca) Kruse, Heather (Darnell Granberry) Kruse, Christopher (Anna) Taylor, Tommy (Krystle) Breashears, Jonnie Breashears, 11 grandchildren, Darnell Jr., Griffin, Evan, Jordyn, Ellie, Ian, Claire, Izzy, Cole, Stella and Scarlett, his siblings, Doris (Tony) Wagner, Ron (Pat), Gary (Jan), Dennis (Laurie), Tom (Gail) Nancy (Glenn) Kruse.  He was preceded by his parents and 2 brothers Robert and Randy.

Carl Joseph Kruse was born in Mercy Hospital, Dubuque on December 22, 1951.  He was the son of Laverne and Irene Bildstein, Kruse.   Carl graduated from Dyersville Beckman in 1970.   He worked for several years for Krapfl Construction and then started his own carpet cleaning company based in Worthington.  Carl married Kris Taylor Breashears on August 1, 1998, at Monticello, Iowa.   He later moved his business to Monticello.

Carl enjoyed coaching Little League, playing fast-pitch softball, golfing, bowling and especially fishing. His favorite activity was spending time with Kris, his kids and grandkids.
