Carl Wittenburg, 72 died peacefully Sunday morning, August 25, 2024, at his daughters' home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 Thursday morning, , August 29, 2024 at S.S. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, rural Monticello.  Pastor Holly Knouse will officiate at the service. A Visitation will be held at the church prior to service from 10am-11am, followed by lunch.

Surviving are 5 children, Derek Wittenburg, Valerie Johanson, Amiee Luedeman, Danielle Wittenburg-Moore, Garett Wittenburg, 21 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Everett and Henry.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Carl William Wittenburg was born March 21, 1952, at Lexington, Nebraska, the son of Everett and Helen Thompson Wittenburg.  Carl spent most of his working career in manufacturing.  Working at Cascade Lumber, Franklin Equipment, Bennett Manufacturing and Energy Manufacturing as a forklift operator. He finished his working career as a cashier at Kardee's 151.

When he was not spending time with family and friends, he enjoyed Karaoke and playing his guitar.
