Clayton Hollingshead, 69, died Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at his home.

There are no services planned at this time. Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa has taken Clayton and his family into their care.

Surviving is his wife Diane and his son Derek and siblings Kathy Klien, Barbara Johnson, David Hollingshead, Mary Scroggins, John Hollingshead. He was preceded by his parents and an infant sister, Michelle

Clayton Lynn Hollingshead was born July 8, 1957, at Maquoketa, Iowa the son of Clayton and Florence Harding, Hollingshead. He received his education in the Midland Schools. Clayton then went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. He married Diane Meineke at the Wyoming Methodist Church in 1977. Clayton worked for a brief time at a gas station. He then started his work in farming working for Darrell Lorenzen, Bill Hacke and Bruce Reed. He finished his working career driving a semi for Food Liner and Republic.
