Clyde Zedick, 86, died Sunday August 13, 2023, at Jones Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 Monday morning, August 21, 2023, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, where friends may call from 9:30 until 11:00.  Interment will be in the Czeck National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids with Military Honors.

Surviving is his sister Mary Zedick, several cousins and many friends.   He was preceded in death by his parents and special friend, Doreen Streeper.

Clyde Franklin Zedick Jr. was born August 26, 1936 at Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  He was the son of Clyde Sr. and Agnes Jirasek, Zedick Sr.  Clyde graduated from the Monticello Community Schools in 1956.  He went on to serve in the United States Army.

Clyde worked for Bohlken Motors in Scotch Grove, Cuckler Buildings and NAPA auto parts where he was a machinist.   He later worked at B&G Auto Parts and Big A auto parts as a salesman and delivery person.

Clyde bought his first Cushman Scooter, from military surplus, while in high school.  His collection of scooters and later Harley Davidson Motorcycles continued throughout his life.
