David Boeding age 53, died Sunday at the Jones Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 Wednesday morning, November 21, 2012 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Hopkinton. Visitation will be at the church Tuesday where a parish vigil service will be held at 4:00 pm. Visitation will start immediately following the vigil service until 8 pm. Rev. Fr. John Kremer will officiate at the services. Goettsch Funeral Home, Hopkinton is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. David Joseph Boeding was born October 7, 1959 at the John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa. He was the son of Francis and Lois Kirby, Boeding. He graduated from the Maquoketa Valley Schools in 1978. David then enlisted in the United States Army serving in the 109 Air Borne Division. He had been employed at Exide Battery, the City of Hopkinton and Murray Grain. He also worked as a long haul trucker and had been a truck driver for Welter Storage in Monticello for the past 6 years. David married Patricia Hargrafen on October 26, 1990 at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. David enjoyed being outdoors, splitting wood, camping, fishing and canoeing. He especially enjoyed being with his family and taking his girls to gymnastics meets and cooking for the 4H breakfast.
