Doris Maria Thibadeau, age 85, of Anamosa, passed away on February 11, 2024, at the Anamosa Care Center after her battle with cancer.

Doris was born in Neunkirchen, Germany January 18, 1939, to Berthold and Maria (Ohm) Leiser and has been an Anamosa resident since 1964.  Doris was united in marriage to her husband of 55 years, Delmar Dean Thibadeau on July 22, 1967.  Doris enjoyed taking long walks around town, visiting with friends and family, and taking care of others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Ruth Schmidt, her loving husband, Delmar, and two sons, Rick Kartak and Jorg Nissen.  Doris is survived by two sons and a daughter, Delmar (Jackie) Thibadeau, Jr. of Hondo, Texas, Dorle Kartak Bieker, Leon Nissen, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
