Florence Coyle, 95, of Anamosa, died Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade, IA

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am Friday, March 22, 2019 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Anamosa. Rev. Nick March will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cascade. The family will greet friends from 4 to7pm, Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, and again at the church an hour before services Friday. Florence Margaret Koob, was born December 30, 1923 in Cascade, IA the daughter of Emeret and Ida (Takes) Koob. On June 16, 1942 she married Wilmer Coyle at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cascade. He died in 2001. Together they farmed near Hopkinton and Temple Hill. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

She enjoyed quilting, working crossword puzzles, playing cards, and cooking. She was a Chicago Cubs fan and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Florence loved to celebrate and decorate for the all the holidays, with Christmas being her favorite. She will be remembered as a strong, hardworking woman who possessed a deep and abiding faith.

She is remembered by her children Joyce (Frank) Rausch, Epworth, George (Marilyn) Coyle, Anamosa, Donna (Bob) Hughes, Davenport, Mike (Carrie) Coyle, Blue Grass, and Cathy Coyle, Marion, 18 grandchildren,  38 great grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren, sisters Rosie (Al) Smith, Cascade and Mary Lu (Frank) Takes, Cedar Rapids, and a brother-in-law Dale Weideman, Bradenton, FL.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Patrick, a daughter-in-law Kathy Coyle, and siblings and in-laws Irene and Mert Rogers, Joseph and Cecelia Koob, Helen Weidemann, Katie and Tom Gavin, and Dorothy Ann Koob.

Florence's family would like to thank the staff of Shady Rest Care Center for the wonderful care they all received and Jennifer with Above and Beyond Hospice.
