He is survived by his loving family, Teri (Dean) Legg, Clive, Susan (Dan) Van Woert, Cedar Rapids, Curtis (Valerie) Daily, Anamosa, Erin (Terry) Stanford, Cedar Rapids, and Thomas (Gail) Daily, Gurnee, IL, ten wonderful grandchildren, four fantastic great grandchildren, and a sister Patricia Hughes, Cedar Rapids.
Frank Eugene Daily was born in Cedar Rapids to Frank and Hilda Mae (Davis) Daily on January 20, 1936. He attended Cedar Rapids Public Schools, graduating from Franklin High School. He enjoyed long term friendships with his high school classmates throughout his lifetime.
Frank met his wife, Jamia Thompson, on a blind date. It was love at first sight and they were married for 67 years before her passing in 2022. He worked at Collins Radio, later becoming Rockwell Collins, for his entire career. He began on the production line and ended his tenure as a procurement assurance engineer.
Frank was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, serving as a lector and usher for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Rotary Club of Anamosa. Golf was his passion. He was a share holder of Fawn Creek Country Club and enjoyed socializing with other golfers. His crowning achievement was scoring a hole in one twice in one week. Frank was most proud of his children and grandchildren (even prouder than his golf game)!
His family is especially grateful for the dedicated and compassionate care he received at West Ridge Care Center and from Mercy Hospice. Instead of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in Frank's memory.
