With great sorrow we announce the passing of Gerald "Jerry" Kehoe on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
A brief service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2021 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello with interment in the Hopkinton Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 am to 11 am at the Goettsch Funeral Home Monticello, Iowa .
Mask's must be worn and fitted properly over the nose and mouth at all times to enter the funeral home.
Surviving are 2 children, Shawn (Nola) Bodensteiner- Kehoe, Angie Platner, 5 grandchildren, Ashley (Joe) Lewandowski, Cameron (Haley) Wallander, David Wortman, Clayton Bodensteiner, Courtney (Dalton) Cress, 4 great-grandchildren, Adelyn Cress, Eric Lewandowski, Dallis Wallander and Jaxson Wortman, and his sister, Lorraine Trammell.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gerald Joseph Kehoe was born September 16, 1939 at Dubuque, Iowa. He was the son of Marcus and Mary DeLay, Kehoe. Jerry attended the Buck Creek Consolidated Schools. He then started his career as a graphic artist painting on cars, trucks and about anything else that would stand still long enough to paint on.
He was born a hundred years to late as he loved everything about the cowboy life. He belonged to the Old West Society of Minnesota and enjoyed participating in cowboy re-enactments. His favorite program was the Lone Ranger especially the opening. Happy Trails Jerry, Happy Trails...
