Gerald Monson, 72, died Wednesday November 13, 2024, at Mercy One Hospital, Oelwein, Iowa following sudden illness.

Surviving is his daughter, Leesa Monson, 2 grandsons, Brantley and Jayce of Davenport, and 2 sisters, Linda and Caroline.

Gerald Wayne Monson was born March 12, 1952 at Rock Island, Illinois.  He was the son of Vern and Louise Measles, Monson.  Gerald graduated from Rock Ridge High School in Sharod, Illinois.  He was employed at the East Moline Plant of John Deere.  He was a loving father and grandfather.  He was proud that he was in remission from throat cancer the last 2 months.
