Gregory Benischek, age 65,died at his home in Anamosa, Iowa on December 29, 2020.

Greg Lynn Benischek was born November 10, 1955 in Anamosa, the son of Richard and Goldie (Winchip) Benischek and grew up in Olin, IA.

He loved being a long haul truck driver until an unfortunate car accident caused a brain injury which disabled him. He enjoyed watching movies and documentaries on television, reminiscing and being taken for rides around the countryside.

He is survived by his sons Bryan Monticello, IA and Sean Mesa, AZ, his brother, Roger (Bonnie) New Orleans, nieces and nephews; Brad (Anne) New Orleans, Beth Asheville, NC, Ross (Karey) Talkeetna, AK, Denise Kleppe (Brad Mortimore) Frederick, MD and his brother-in-law, Rich Kleppe, Clarence, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Goldie Winchip Benischek and sister Marcia Benischek Kleppe (Rich).
