Harry Baumann, 90, died Wednesday January 1, 2025, at his home following an extended illness.
Visitation for friends and family will be Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 11:00 am at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 with Pastor Chris Slama officiating. Private interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Thoughts, Memories and Condolences may be left at www.goettschonline.com
Surviving is his wife, Barbara; 2 sons: Mark (Marcia), David (Ellen); seven grandchildren: Maria (Jake) Osterberg, Meghann (Justin) Krogmann, Meredith (Dustin) Meyermann, and Christopher, Timothy, Andrew, and Matthew Baumann.; and five great grandchildren: Landon and Clayton Krogmann, Mya and Tinley Osterberg and Dawson Meyermann.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 siblings: Lillian Mangold, Maxine Konnath and Carl Baumann.
Harry Alfred Baumann was born September 3, 1934, near Ryan, Iowa, the son of Alfred and Louise Glauser Baumann. Harry graduated from Monticello High School in 1952. He married Barbara Muller on October 16, 1955, at the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Monticello.
The couple lived in Coggon for 43 years before moving back to Monticello in 1999. Harry worked in the dairy industry until he was 86 years old.
Harry loved his family, was a faithful Christian, and was a friend to all he met. He enjoyed every moment of life and will be dearly missed.
