Obituary

Jacob Evans Heideman died unexpectedly at his home on October 16, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday October 22, 2020 from 11:00am - 5:00pm at the Wapsi Country Club, Anamosa, Iowa.

He was born in Glendale Heights, Illinois, on August 28, 1986 to Cynthia (Favia) and Patrick Heideman. Cynthia later remarried Jacob's step-father Richard Luchtenburg, whom became his father. His family spent most of his youth in Mr. Vernon and Anamosa, Iowa, eventually settling in Anamosa permanently. He was an Anamosa High School Graduate, 2003.

Jake was a proud employee of L & E Basement Waterproofing (for Dean & Donna Alger, of Anamosa). He was an avid gun and knife collector. He loved to be outdoors and fished as often as he could. He was a life-long Chicago Bears fan, an Iowa Hawkeyes fan, and watched every football game he was able to. He liked to stay up-to-date on the news, politics, and current events. He enjoyed spending his free time with his wife, sons and their pets.

He is survived by his adoring wife who he spent 13 short years with, Nancy. His two sons, Jace (12) and Lukas (8). His mother and father, Cynthia & Richard Luchtenburg. His grandmother, Rosemary Favia. His mother-in-law, Kandee Simmons. 9 siblings – Joshua (Selena) Heideman, Elizabeth Heideman, Rebecca (Joseph) Flanagan, Joshua (Shelly Easterly) Luchtenberg, Jason Luchtenburg, Jacob Luchtenburg, Sarah Luchtenburg and Linda (Steve) Carnicle. As well as many nieces and nephews.

The Lives he touched is with measure, and he will be loved and missed.
