John "Lee" O'Brien age 52, died Wednesday January 26, 2022 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 Tuesday afternoon, February 1, 2022 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello where friends may call after 11:00.  Pastor David Raemisch will officiate at the services.

Surviving is his wife Marsha, his mother, Loretta Clary, 6 children, Alicia (Derik Thomas) O'Brien, Koree (Shawn Walker) O'Brien, Denise (Levi Miller) O'Brien,  Bobbie Jo (Perry Ellison) Norton, Tommy (Alisha) Norton, Zachary (Mikkila White) Norton, 15 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Angie (Andy) Peters, Amanda (Jones), 2 brothers, Terry Clary and Tony Clary.

He was preceded in death by his father and step- father and grandson, Kasey O'Brien.

John Isaac Leon O'Brien was born January 12, 1970 at Iowa City, Iowa.  He was the son of John and Loretta Parker, O'Brien.  Lee attended the Anamosa Community Schools.  He worked as a mechanic and later at 7th St. Stone in Monticello .  He married Marsha Norton on August 14, 1993 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Monticello.  Lee enjoyed NASCAR, camping, riding motorcycles and snowmobiling.
