Judson "Jud" Barnes, 46, of Anamosa, died Monday, April 15, 2024, at Jones Regional Medical Center.

Celebration of Life service will be at 11 am Friday, April 19, 2024, at Springs of Life Church in Anamosa. Pastor Mark Ortgies will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Judson Paul Barnes was born February 15, 1978, in Monticello, IA, the son of Craig and Lois (Siebels) Barnes. He attended school in Anamosa and graduated from Anamosa High School in the Class of 1996. He was employed as a machinist with the Energy Company in Monticello.

Jud was intelligent, and designed his own CNC machines, which allowed him to enjoy wood and metal working. He was gifted at programming and 3D printing. He was also an apt mechanic. He was a solitary kind soul who gave freely of himself and left a great deal of love in our world. He will always be remembered as a loving Father, Son, Brother, and Friend.

Jud is survived by his daughter Ember Hanlon, his mother Lois, his sisters Jennifer (Tony) Cortilet and Julie (Andrew) Kemper, as well as by nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father Craig.
