Kathy Pratt, 79, of Monticello, died Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at home with her family at her side.

Mary Kathryn Cronbaugh was born on December 12, 1946, in Anamosa, IA, the daughter of George and Rachel (Heller) Cronbaugh. She attended school in Monticello and was united in marriage to Gary "Butch" Pratt on November 30, 1962, at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Monticello. She was employed as paralegal, and also owned and operated Pratt's Flowers and Gifts. Kathy had been involved in Rotary International since the early 1990s, serving as President for the West Union and Monticello Rotary Clubs.

She enjoyed travelling, especially to Jamaica, quilting, coloring, and eating supper out with friends.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Butch, her children Candy (Cary) Langerman and Mike (Melissa) Pratt, seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, her brother Randy (Irene) Schilt, and three nephews.

She was preceded by her parents and her stepfather John Schilt.
