Keith Young, 68, died Monday, August 31, 2026, at the University Hospital, Iowa City.

Private family services will be held at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Bishop Clayton George will officiate at the services.

Surviving are his wife Donna and siblings, Dwight (Lori) Young, Victoria (Todd) Chappell, Timothy (Marcella) Young. He was preceded by his parents.

Keith William Young was born July 21,1958 at the John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa. He was the son of Clovis and Geneva Stroud, Young. Keith graduated from the Monticello Community schools with the class of 1978. Keith and Donna Manternach were married at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Monticello. He then started his career in printing. He was employed at Julin Printing in Monticello for a number of years. Keith worked at the University of Iowa as a press operator for 30 years. He retired because of health problems in 2016.

Keith enjoyed fishing, gardening with Donna, and riding his little Massey tractor.
