Kelly Britt, 49, died Friday, November 29, 2024, at home following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 Monday morning, December 2, 2024, at St. John Catholic Church, Delhi with interment in the Hopkinton Cemetery.  Fr. Gabriel Anderson will officiate at the services.   Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 Sunday at St. John Catholic Church.  Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello has taken Kelly and his family into their care. Surviving are his parents, Larry and Karen Britt, his brother Jay (Angie) Britt, his niece and nephew, Aspen (Eric), and Alex (Kate) great-niece and nephew, C.J. and Maverick.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilfred and Florence Kenny and Paul Rose Britt.

Kelly John Britt was born April 21, 1975, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Larry and Karen Kenny Britt.  He graduated from the Maquoketa Valley Schools in 1994.  Kelly then continued his education at Kirkwood College in the Diesel Mechanic program.

He was employed by Square D and later at Lattner Boilers in Cedar Rapids.  Most recently he worked at Maurer Repair in Delhi.
Kelly was a Harley guy making many trips to Sturgis and all around the Midwest.  When he wasn't on the Harley, he was driving his Mustang, boating with his friend John, Jet Skiing on the Mississippi, or taking his dog Ruby for a ride on the golf cart.
