Lana Leonard, 65, of Martelle, died Friday, March 20, 2026 at her home.

Lana Dee O'Brien was born on January 5, 1961 in Monticello, IA, the daughter of Hugh and Mary (Mysak) O'Brien. She attended Anamosa Community Schools. She married Robert Leonard in Marion on January 5, 1996. Lana was employed in manufacturing at Langer Manufacturing and D.A.D. Manufacturing. She would later go on to work for 14 years as a laundry aide at the Hallmark Nursing Center in Mt. Vernon.

Lana was a lifelong resident of Anamosa and Martelle, save for a short period of time when she lived in Oregan, returning in 1993. She enjoyed gardening, having bonfires, fishing, and swimming, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Robert, her daughter Chandel Edwards, her son Quinton Edwards, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, her siblings Larry (Jean) Lacey, Kenneth Lacey, Linda Hamptonstall, Carol Lacey, Robert (Becky) Lacey, Donna Hines, and Patti O'Brien, as well as by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jim Lacey.
