Laurie Valentine age 57, died peacefully, Friday, May 15, 2020 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Surviving is her husband Tim, 2 sons, Douglas and Brandon (Megan), 5 grandchildren, Temperance, Helena, Jadyn, Jillian, and Matthew,  her parents, Joseph and Rosemary Staner and 3 sisters, Kathy (Red) Niemeier, Betty (Bruce) Carey, Ann(Dennis) Dailey.

Laurie Ann Staner was born January 31, 1963 at Cascade, Iowa.  She was the daughter of Joseph and Rosemary McKenna, Staner. Laurie graduated from the Cascade High School in 1981.   She married Tim Valentine on August 1, 1981 at St. Peters Catholic Church, Temple Hill.   She had worked at Club 528 in Cascade and the 12 Mile House.  For 8 years she worked as a tele-marketer for Bernard Communications.  Laurie had currently worked in the meat department of Fareway in Monticello, where she had been employed for 25 years.

Laurie loved her horses and enjoyed all the chores that went with them.  She was a member of the Baldwin Saddle Club.
