Marian Blunt age 84, died Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at University Hospital, Iowa City following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 Saturday morning, February 12, 2022 at the United Church of Monticello with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello.  Friends may call from 4 until 7  Friday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Surviving is her husband of 64 years James,  4 children, Daniel, Jeffrey (Kate Williams) , Lisa and Dennis all of Monticello, 2 grandsons, Jayson (Victoria Tillery) and Michael.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jeremy, her sister, Betty (Buzz) Redmond and her brothers, John (Vera), Arthur, Harold (Clara), Paul(Irma) and Clarence (Laura) Eiben.

Marian Francis Eiben was born February 5, 1938 at the John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa.  Marian graduated from the Onslow High School in 1956.

She married James Blunt June 8, 1957.  The couple lived on their farm near Scotch Grove.  Marian worked at Asgrow Seed in Anamosa for 15 years.

Marian enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and being a wife, mother and grandmother.
