Marie Kurth, 86, died Thursday October 2, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Private family services will be held with Interment in the Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello.  Goettsch Funeral Home has taken Marie and her family into their care. Chaplin Jeff Tackaberry will officiate at the services.

Surviving are 4 children, Diane (Doug) Monck, Cheryl (Jim) Hunt, Kevin (Diane) Kurth, Donald (Kay) Kurth, 6 grandchildren, Joshua Monck, James (Amy) Kurth, Derek (Nicole) Kurth, Jordan (Alec) Kurth, Kelly (Gary) Helm, Rich (Shaun) Hunt, 5 great-grandchildren, Kelsey (Marty) Cox, Kavan, Koen, Kasen, Konrad Kurth.   She was preceded by her parents and her husband Howard.

Marie Ellen Frasher was born May 29, 1939, at Troy Mills, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Lillian Plucar Frasher.  She graduated from the Troy Mills High school with the class of 1957.  Marie married Howard Kurth on December 7, 1957, at the Congregational Church in Monticello.    Marie loved being a mother and homemaker.

She had belonged to the Joyful Noise Choir and the Royal Neighbors.  Marie was always very active in church activities.
