Marilyn Winders, 88, of Anamosa, died Monday, January 25, 2021 at Pinicon Place in Anamosa.

Marilyn Frances Neuzil, was born July 20, 1932 in Iowa City, IA the daughter of Melvin and Alice (Sommerhauser) Neuzil. She attended schools in Iowa City and graduated from City High School. She then earned her bachelors' degree from the University of Iowa. On March 10, 1956 she married Gary Winders at the First Congregational Church in Anamosa.

She was employed for many years as a secretary at Iowa State Men's Reformatory. She was an avid reader and enjoyed music and watching birds in her backyard. She and Gary loved to travel in the winters and sometimes in the summer.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gary, her children Lary (Michelle) Winders, Anamosa and Barb (Mike) Haeder, Cedar Rapids, grandchildren Timothy (Angela) Winders, Anamosa and Holly (Brent) Eisenman, Spring Valley, MN.

She was preceded in death by a son Jay Winders and her parents.

Memorials can be directed to Camp Courageous or to the Shriners' Children's Hospital.
