Mark Bader, 61 of Monticello, died suddenly at his home, Sunday, January 28, 2024.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 Thursday morning, February 1, 2024, at the Peace United Church of Christ.  Pastor Frank Shepherd will officiate at the services.   Friends may call from 4 until 7, Wednesday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.   Thoughts, memories, and condolences may be left at www.goettschonline.com

Surviving are his wife, Terry, 2 children Tim (Michelle) Bader, Sasha (Zach) Wells, a granddaughter, Bianka, his mother, Jo Marie Bader, and his sister, Joni (Steph) Bader. "He was preceded by his father, George Bader.

Mark Leonard Bader was born January 11, 1963, at John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa.  He was the son of George and Jo Marie Rickels Bader.   Mark graduated from the Monticello Community Schools in 1981 and then joined his father at Bader Masonry.  Mark passed the business on to his son Tim in 2022 but has continued to give his guidance and advice.

Mark liked watching football, taking Ranger Rides, going boating, watching Gun Smoke, mushroom, and deer hunting, traveling, and going to talk with his friends at Accent Construction.  He enjoyed taking his 1970 El Camino to Car Shows.  His favorite and most precious time was spent with his granddaughter, Bianka.
