Marlene Like 94, died Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held, 11:00, Wednesday morning, June 24, 2026, at Peace Church with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 on Tuesday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.

Surviving are her children, Don (Connie) Like, Dororthy (Frank) Ray, Diane Torres, 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.   She was preceded by her parents, her husband, a great-grandson Andrew Ray and siblings, Harlan, Deloris, Evelyn, Marvin, Galen and LaVern.

Marlene Phyllis Etten was born March 1, 1932, at Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Frederick and Louise Paulsen Etten.  Marlene graduated from the Monticello Community Schools with the class of 1949.  Marlene and Kenneth Like were married August 25, 1950, at the Little Brown Church, Nasua.  Marlene worked at Collins Radio in Anamosa.  She was the bookkeeper for Kens trucking business and did a tremendous amount of babysitting for family and friends.

Marlene enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening and canning.
