Mary Hurt, 70, of Anamosa, passed away on November 29, 2023 at the home of her daughter following an illness.

She was surrounded by her loved ones Beth Hurt, Sam Hess, Domynik Hurt, Alexander Oltmanns, Nicholas Oltmanns, Dustin Burgess, Cari DeBlieck, Talon Burgess, Renee and RD, Jane Joslin, and Penny Joslin.

She is survived by two sisters Jane Joslin and Kathy Smith, her three children Beth Hurt, Leroy Burgess, and Mathew Burgess, and by 14 grandchildren.

To say Mom was the glue that held everyone together wouldn't do her justice – she was kind, caring, loving, selfless, and had an unparalleled knack for making the best of things and putting in the time and effort to encourage those around her t do the same.

Her children were the light of her life, and as time passed so became her grandchildren as well.
