Michael Behnke age 69, died Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Silver Oak Nursing Center, Marion following an extended illness.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 Saturday morning, September 17, 2022 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa where friends may call after 9:00. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Surviving are 3 children, Michael Jr. , James (Alysia), Jennifer (Derek), 9 grandchildren and his siblings, Sheri (Ted) Hess and David Behnke.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives, Carol and Cinda and his brother, Terry.

Michael John Behnke was born August 30, 1953 at Monticello, Iowa.  He was the son Wilbur and Jean Evans, Behnke.   He graduated from the Anamosa Community Schools  in 1972.

Mike was a CNA in Anamosa and Cedar Rapids.  Later in life he lived in Pahrump before retuning to Iowa in 2015.  Michael enjoyed going fishing in his spare time.
