Milton L. Ross, 93, of Anamosa, died Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Pinicon Place in Anamosa.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 15, 2018 at Wilcox Cemetery, Viola. Rev. Rodney Bluml will officiate and military honors will be accorded by the Anamosa Veteran's Honor Guard. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Monday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa.

Milton La Verne Ross was born on December 10, 1924 in Central City, IA, the son of Walter Glenn ad Mildred (Bickel) Ross. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II. Milton was a life-long farmer who liked to saw wood in his own sawmill and cook pancakes on his wood stove. He enjoyed life, walking through his woods, and visiting with family and friends.

He is survived by sisters Esther (Dick) Stick, Marion, and Edna Moehl, Anamosa, several nieces and nephews, and a special friend and neighbor Annette Caffery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Everett, and a brother-in-law.
