Morgan McDermott age 18, died peacefully at her home with her parents by her side on Tuesday morning, November 8, 2022.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 Friday afternoon, November 11, 2022 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello.  Interment will be in the Castle Grove Cemetery, rural Monticello at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 1:45 at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the MPS Society, Make a Wish Foundation or Camp Courageous.

Masks are required for attending the service or the visitation.

Surviving are her parents, Jill and Mike McDermott, her brother Blake and grandparents, Leo and Janet Cook, Linus and Shirley McDermott and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her cousin Ryder.

Morgan Marie McDermott was born November 3, 2004 at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque.  She was the daughter of Michael and Jill Cook, McDermott.

Morgan was a member of the 2023 Senior Class at the Monticello Community Schools.  She loved going on 4 wheeler rides, reading books and playing with her dolls.
