Nathan Miller, 44, of Dubuque, died Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, following a long illness.

Nathan Wesley Miller was born in Cedar Rapids on July 22, 1976, the son of Lawrence and Carol (Kazebeer) Miller, Jr. He attended and was a member of the class of 1997 at Washington Senior High School in Cedar Rapids. He was employed as a piece worker at ARC in Dubuque until his illness.
He enjoyed puzzles, swimming, board games – especially Monopoly, playing Nintendo, his stuffed animal collection, and everything that had to do with bugs and insects. He will be remembered as a special man who touched every person he came in contact with, and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother and father, Carol and David J. Costello, Sr., Monticello, his grandmother Geraldine Kazebeer, Monticello. His father Lawrence W. Miller, Jr, Fredericksburg, TX, brothers, Dustin (Lauren Davis) Costello, Raleigh, NC, David J. Costello, Jr., Anamosa, and Dallas (Cari) Miller, Cedar Rapids, sisters Melody (Jarod) Larson, Jefferson, IA, Raeann Costello, Anamosa, and Heidi (Joe) Baker, Maquoketa, IA, as well as by a lot of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Merfeld, uncle, Jackie L. Kazebeer, grandparents, H.L. "Lucky" Kazebeer, Carl and Peggy Merfeld, Raymond and Glennie Costello, and Lawrence W. and Bonnie Miller, Sr.
Nathan's family appreciates the care and support Nathan received and would like to especially thank his godparents: Dan and Lynn Merfeld, and the staffs of Hills and Dales in Dubuque and the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House.
