Nicholas Nachtrieb, age 63, died Sunday, May 8, 2022 at his home following a sudden illness.

A public visitation will be held from 4 until 6 Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, .  There will be a private family interment in the St. Matthew Cemetery, Sherrill, Iowa.  By visiting Goettschonline.com you may share your thoughts, memories and condolences with Nick's family and sign the online guest book.

Surviving are 2 children, Neva (Richard Faris) Nachtrieb, Timothy (Dianne Turner) Nachtrieb, 6 grandchildren, Izabella, Mazimus, Sawyer, Wilson, Hollen and Lindsay.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Carol Custer and a brother Timothy.

Nicholas John Nachtrieb was born November 4, 1958 at Dubuque, Iowa.   He was son of Robert and Lavonne Lehmkuhl, Nachtrieb.   Nick graduated from Hempstead High School with the class of 1977. He worked in plumbing and heating most of his working career. Working for M&D Plumbing and Heating in Anamosa and Kraus Plumbing and Heating in Monticello.   He enjoyed going boating, hunting and being outdoors.
