Patsy Wernimont age 72, died peacefully on Friday afternoon, October 28, 2022, with her family by her side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 Wednesday morning, November 2, 2022, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello, with interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.   Fr. Paul Baldwin will officiate at the services.  Friends may call from 9:30 until 10:30 Wednesday morning at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.

Surviving are her  7 children, Shawn (Jill) Wernimont, Langworthy, Shelley (William Meyer) Wernimont, Cedar Rapids, Wally (Katie) Wernimont, Dubuque, Wesley (Bettina) Wernimont, Eagan, MN., Mark Wernimont, Anamosa, Keith (Diana Jones) Wernimont, Monticello, Kethery Wernimont, Cedar Rapids, 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons,   her siblings,  Carl (Mary) Muller,  Jim (Mary Ann) Muller and Virginia Steiner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gary in 2020, and siblings, Janet Rink, Gerald, and Bill Muller.

Patricia Ann Muller was born November 14, 1949, in Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Walter and Veda Podhaski, Muller.   Patsy graduated from the Monticello Community Schools with the class of 1967.  Patsy married Gary Wernimont on  September 7, 1968, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello. The couple both worked at Cuckler Buildings.  They also farmed near Monticello for many years.   After her family was grown, Patsy worked at the Swiss Valley Milk Plant in Hopkinton and Farley.  She later transferred to Monticello working for Swiss Valley Ag and then Jones Regional Medical Center.

Patsy liked to go bowling and play cards with friends.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
