Patricia Wright, 80, died Friday, August 8, 2025, at St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Visitation 9am-11am, Funeral services will be held 11:00 Monday morning and lunch immediately following the service.  August 18, 2025, at the Springville Presbyterian Church with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello at a later date.  Pastor David Snyder will officiate the services.  Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello has taken Pat and her family into their care.

Surviving is her husband Jim, 3 children, Brian, Eric (Kathryn) and Holly Wright (Moby) , 9 grandchildren (Trinity, Braelyn, Savannah, Talon, Lille, Luke, William, Ava, Henry , and Kathy Shade (Niece) sister Kristy (Scott) Davis.  She was preceded by her parents, and a sister Arlene.

Patricia Jean Bunting was born in John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa on April 29, 1945, to John and Francis Collins Bunting.  Pat graduated from the Monticello Community School in 1963.  She was employed by both Fred Faust and Rex Cheney at the Dairy Mart in Monticello.  She completed her education at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, in 1967 with a degree in Elementary Education.   Pat married James Wright on June 27, 1967, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, rural Monticello.   The couple live in Marion and Pat taught at the Linn Mar Indian Creek School, 3rd and 4th grades until 2001 when she retired. She was a substitute teacher and also tutored students in retirement.

Pat was a member of the Springville Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
