Paula Rigby died Friday evening, October 9, 2026, at St. Lukes Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Thursday afternoon, October 15, 2026, at the First Congregational Church, Anamosa with interment in the Antioch Cemetery. Pastor Holly Knouse officiated at the services. Goettsch Funeral Home has taken Paula and her family into their care.

Surviving are her siblings, Anita (Jerry) Hartwig, Terry (Donna) Rigby, nieces and nephews, Luke, Liam, Dawn and Tracey. Many aunts, uncles and cousins and cats Tiny and Star.  She was preceded by her parents, and grandparents, Ralph and Leota Covington, McVay, Louis and Josephine Winans, Rigby.

Paula Kay Rigby was born December 1, 1967, at University Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of James and Mary McVay, Rigby. She graduated from the Center Point High School in 1987. Paula loved horses and went to work on a horse ranch owned by her uncle in Phenix, Alabama. She returned to Iowa and worked at the Monticello Senior Home and North Brook Manor in Cedar Rapids. He last job was as a cashier at Caseys in Anamosa.

Paula loved horses going camping, making homemade pizza and watching Yellowstone, Heartland and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer every Christmas. She was a member of the Broken Bit Saddle Club.
