Robert (Bob) Hora, 88, of Morley, IA, died Sunday, February 19, 2023, with his family by his side.

Robert Ivan Hora was born in Morley on November 21, 1934, the son of Joe and Alice (Tenley) Hora. He graduated from Morley High School in May of 1952. On October 17, 1954 he married Betty L. Hults at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, rural Monticello.

Bob worked as a carpenter, serving the Jones County area his whole life.

Those remembering him are his wife of 68 years, Betty, his children Marsha (Leo) Hlas of Elberon and Dennis (Beth) Hora of Anamosa, his grandchildren Chris (Nancy Smith) Boots, Ben (Donette) Boots, Wayne (Steph) Hora and Josh (Jessica) Hora, nine great grandchildren, a brother, Darrell Hora of Marion and a sister, Diane (Roger) Onken of Monticello.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law Robert Peterson, a sister-in-law Nancy Hults, and a nephew Ryan Onken.
