Robert Newhard, 84, of Anamosa, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Harmony in Cedar Rapids.

Robert Gene Newhard was born on August 15, 1939, in Anamosa, the son of Robert E. and Phila (Dufloth) Newhard. He attended school in Anamosa and graduated from Anamosa High School. From December of 1959 to March of 1962, he served his country in the United States Army and was granted an honorable discharge. He was employed as a worker on the assembly line at Rockwell Collins, first in Anamosa, then in Cedar Rapids.

Bob enjoyed his daily drives around Jones County, especially his visits to Wapsi State Park.

He is survived by sons Dustin and Derek, as well as by his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Steven.
