Obituary

Robert Lee Weber, 85 of Anamosa, IA passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026.

The family will greet friends from 11 am to 2 pm Friday, March 20, 2026, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. A private family graveside service will follow. Please use the Guestbook to share your thoughts, memories, and condolences.

Bob was born on December 21, 1940 in rural Garber, Iowa to Emil and Eliza Vorwald Weber.  He attended Saint Mary's School in Guttenberg and graduated from Garnavillo High School in 1959.  He started working at Rockwell Collins that same year and after 44 years of dedicated service, retired in 2003.  He was a proud longtime member of IBEW Local 1362.

Bob married Judy Tomkins on October 7, 1961 in Guttenberg, Iowa.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandpa and friend, known for his quick wit and always whistling or singing a tune.  He was a lover of dogs and had many over the years.  Bob loved working in the yard and took great pride in it.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends with painting and home projects. In his younger years he had a passion for cars. A favorite pastime of his was watching NASCAR races and the History Channel.

Surviving is his wife of 64 years Judy, three children, Scott (Carol) Weber,

Sherri (Bob) Wageman and Kyle (Colleen) Weber. 8 grandchildren, Christine (Robin) Donegan, Ben Weber, Michelle (Jake) Guernon, Tim Wageman, Cally (Brando) Hills, Ryan Wageman, Ashtyn Weber and Ryker Weber. 2 great grandchildren, Jordan and Lauren Donegan, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings and in-laws, Leon Weber, Shirley (Eldon) Swisher, and Patricia (Orvie) Schnieder.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Views of Marion, The Anamosa Care Center, and Above and Beyond Hospice for their quality of care and kindness.
