Ronald Babock, 77, went to his eternal rest on Monday morning January 26, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 Thursday morning, January 29, 2026, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Where friends may call from 9 until 11. Interment will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery at a later date. Pastor Holly Knouse will officiate at the services. Thoughts, Memories and Condolences may be left at Goettschonline.com.
Surviving is his wife, Susan, 4 children Natalie (Michael) Hayslip, Renee (Dennis Harrah) Fokken, Niki (Kirk) Freese, Brandon (Amanda) Babcock, a son-in-law, Steve Hoffelt, 15 grandchildren, Riley LeClere, Darian Curry , Trapolin Hoffelt, Brower Hoffelt, Kirra Hayslip, Arianna Daye, Jacob Fokken, Matthew Fokken, David Fokken, Thomas Fokken, Keegan Freese, Savannah Freese, Jackson Babcock, Liam Babcock Eloise Babcock 6 great-grandchildren, Lilah Curry, Carter Curry, Evelyn LeClere, Avery Daye, Sebastian Daye, Oaklynn Fokken his siblings, Michael (Julie) Babcock, Kathy (Gary) Ihrig.
He was preceded by his parents, and a daughter, Stephaney Hoffelt.
Ronald Lee Babcock was born May 13, 1948, at Clinton, Iowa, the son of Donald and Elsie Kiester Babcock. Ron graduated from the Maquoketa High School and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin Platteville. He married Susan Bickford on August 17, 1968, at the Andrew Presbyterian Church. Ron worked for the St. Regis Paper Company in Dubuque while farming near Andrew. He was best known as the Production Manager for Zimmerman Lawn Ornaments in Langworthy.
Ron enjoyed watching the Hawkeyes, gardening with Susan and watching all kinds of movies. He loved spending time with his family it was the most important thing to him. Ron could never pass up a game of Euchre.
