Sandra Luensman age 67, died Monday evening, August 22, 2022 at the Ennoble Nursing and Rehabilitation Center,  Dubuque following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 Friday morning, August 26, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello with interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.   Friends may call from 4 until 7 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello where a parish Vigil Service will be held at 4:00.

Surviving are 5 children, Charles (Robyn), Dominic (Jen), Lucas (Brenda), Ryan (Meleah), Casandra (Josh Schute), 9 Grandchildren, Chase, Tyler, Jonah, Kain, Tait, Lanie, Larkyn, Isabelle and Maxwell and  her siblings, Gerty O'Leary, Neena Petersen and Tom Brokaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 2010 and siblings, Pearl Hansen, Pat Dauber, Betty Snyder, Susie Huss, Millie Markman, Nancy Frost and Monty Monsod.

Sandra Kay Schaeffer was born December 9, 1954 at John Mc Donald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Lester and Rose Littlefield, Schaeffer.

Sandy attended the Monticello Community Schools. She married Robert Luensman on June 28, 1975 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Sandy spent some time in the workforce, but first and foremost took pride in her job as a wife and mother. She loved her family fiercely and will be greatly missed.
