Scott Hartwig, 66, died Saturday, April 27. 2024 at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids following a battle with colon cancer.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 Monday morning, May 6, 2024, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa where friends may call from 9:00 until 11:00. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery rural Anamosa. Carla Burge will officiate at the services.

Surviving are his siblings, Larry Hartwig, Jerry (Anita) Hartwig, Cinda (Kenneth) Petrick, and Rusty Hartwig, 2 nieces Becky (Brian) Creveling, and Kayla Petrick, 3 nephews, Chadd Petrick, Luke and Liam Hartwig, 2 aunts, 2 uncles and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew-in-law, Dallas Kirby, grandparents, Otto and Doris Strickell, Hartwig, Alvin and Nina Maude Rathbun, Mitchell and numerous aunts and uncles.

Scott Jay Hartwig was born May 25, 1957, at John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa, the son of Richard and Jeanne Mitchell Hartwig.  Scott graduated from the Anamosa Community Schools with the Class of 1976.  He then started farming with his brothers on the family farm. He will be missed by all that knew him.
