Shirley J. Saliger age 85, died Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the Villa Care Center, Fort Dodge, Iowa following an extended illness.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, has taken Shirley and her family into their care.

Memorials may be directed to the Burnside Immanuel Lutheran Church , 30632 Paragon Ave, Lehigh, IA 50557.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Linda (Les) Mardorf, Monticello,  Paula (Mike)Little, Richmond, VA., Amy Rens, Denver, Co., 6 grandchildren, Carrie and Justin Mardorf, Melissa Borden, Matt Little, Randi Rens, Xander Rens, 3 great-grandchildren, Charis, Micah and Kassidy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Eva Barnett, her husband, Paul, and a son Kurt Saliger.

She is welcomed to heaven by a large circle of family and friends.  Shirley was a life-long homemaker who enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Villa Care Center Staff and Hospice and the Trinity Regional Unity Point Hospital of Fort Dodge doctors and nurses for all the loving care over the years.
