Shirley Zumbrunnen age, 76, died Friday evening December 9, 2022 at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness.

Surviving are her 2 sons Tom and Tony her siblings, Dorothy Braver, Dick ( Marcella) Fleming, Bill (JoAnn) Fleming, Harold "Buzz"(Debbie) Fleming and in-laws, Jerry (Maretta) Zumbrunnen and Wanda Zimmerman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dean and siblings, Margaret, Irene and Dean, and in-laws, Betty Parsons and Linda Zumbrunnen.

Shirley May Flemming was born June 30, 1946 at Anamosa, Iowa.  She was the daughter of Ivan and Ruth Bider, Flemming.   Shirley graduated from the Olin High School in 1964.   She then started her 44year career at Collins Radio, where she belonged to the IBEW.  Shirley retired in 2009.

Shirley married Dean Zumbrunnen on March 29, 1969 at Peace United Church of Christ in Monticello.  The couple made their home in Monticello where they raised their 2 sons.  Dean preceded her in death in December 26, 2008.
